Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor Abigail Disney said she is whole-heartedly supporting Vice President Kamala Harris‘ presidential campaign, after previously saying she would cease contributions to Democrats unless President Biden dropped out of the race.

Disney, the outspoken filmmaker and philanthropist who is the granddaughter of Roy O. Disney had previously opined that Harris could defeat Trump in the general election “by a lot.” After Biden announced Sunday he was suspending his 2024 reelection campaign — and endorsed Harris to run in his place — Disney now says she will donate to the VP’s election bid and plans to host a fundraising event for Harris. “I am supporting her with all my heart,” Disney wrote in a text message to New York Times reporter Kenneth Vogel.

Other entertainment figures jumping on the Harris bandwagon have included Netflix co-founder and executive chairman Reed Hastings, who had called on Biden to exit the presidential race. “Congrats to Kamala Harris — now it is time to win,” Hastings posted on X late Monday.
