Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack has revealed a prominent SFA refereeing figure spoke at length to the club about decisions made in a match against Rangers.

Head of refereeing Crawford Allan made the journey to the northeast to speak to the Dons after a 2-2 draw at Ibrox back in October, after which then-boss Stephen Glass said John Beaton had made two horrendous calls that robbed his team of three points.

He lashed out at free-kick and penalty awards that resulted in Rangers' two goals and Cormack claims Allan talked club figures through those calls "and some others".

Goals from Christian Ramirez and Scott Brown had Dons two up only for Alfredo Morelos and James Tavernier to hit back from the set-piece and penalty in question.
