The Dons had a cast-iron claim for a penalty kick when they were 2-1 up after Jack MacKenzie was chopped down in the box. Austrian ref Sebastian Gishamer didn’t clock it – but VAR didn’t pick it up either as Pittodrie chiefs were left seething amid fears it wasn’t even checked properly.
Polvara – who scored a stunning second goal on the night – was left shattered. And he admitted the call has put Scotland’s VAR problems in the shade.
