ABC News Hires Tara Narula As Chief Medical Correspondent

ABC News has hired Tara Narula to serve as chief medical correspondent. Narula succeeds Jennifer Ashton, who departed earlier this year.

Narula is a cardiologist at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, where she serves as associate director of the Women’s Heart Program.

She also is associate professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hoftra/Northwell and the director of communications for the Katz Institute of Women’s Health at Northwell.

She also serves as a fellow at the American College of Cardiology. Narula will report on ABC News programs and platforms, including Good Morning America and GMA 3: What You Need To Know.
