But chatting to Gyles Brandreth on the Rosebud podcast earlier this year, the "Happy Feet" star opened up about a secret romance from yesteryears that nearly swayed her path before she found true bliss with her current partner.

At 17-year-old, Miriam swooned over a married man, touting him as the most "loveliest man". Recalling her university days at Oxford, Miriam detailed: "The first boyfriend was a beautiful young man," pronouncing perhaps a chance encounter as she muses, "I don't know how I met him - I think I picked him up in the street.
