Barbie has broken the Critics Choice Award Nomination this year, after scoring 18 nominations.The 29th annual Critics Choice Awards, which are due to take place next January in LA, will see Barbie nominated in all the major categories including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Comedy, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Young Actor/Actress.It was also nominated in categories for acting ensemble, cinematography, editing, production design, costume design, hair and makeup and score. It then shows the genres that the player has played throughout the year.It also tells players what their first game of 2023 was, along with breaking down monthly playtime along with the month that a user played the most hours during.The biggest game to release on Nintendo Switch this year, and likely one of the most played in a lot of people’s Year In Review, is The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, a sequel to 2017’s The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild.NME‘s review called The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom a “surprisingly safe sequel”, with Dominic Preston writing that the title “commits the egregious sin of merely being a very good game” and that compared to Breath Of The Wild, the game is “quite simply more of the same”.“Tears of the Kingdom plays it safe, which is a shame for the follow-up to the least safe Zelda in decades,” he writes.“Still, it’s hard to complain too much about getting more of one of the all-time greats, and there are enough tweaks to make it feel worth playing all over again.”In other gaming news, major Starfield bugs have reportedly not been fixed by a recent patch.

Netflix has released a report of the platform’s most-watched shows and movies from the first half of 2023.In a press release on Tuesday (December 12), the company announced it would publish a new report twice a year to show what people viewed over a six month period. The first ‘What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report’ spans viewing figures from January to June 2023.The comprehensive report covers over 18,000 titles and represents 99 per cent of all viewing on Netflix, amounting to nearly 100 billion hours viewed.While the shows and movies are ranked based on total hours viewed, Netflix notes that success on the platform “is not determined by hours viewed alone” – with the size of the audience relative to the budget also cited as a factor.The Night Agent came out on top in the rankings, racking up over 812million hours globally.

SEVENTEEN singer Jeonghan will not be participating in upcoming schedules, including the ongoing ‘FOLLOW’ tour in Asia, after undergoing ankle surgery.Pledis Entertainment released a statement today (December 14) on fan community platform Weverse announcing that Jeonghan would be absent from group activities after undergoing an ankle surgery earlier this morning.The agency said that Jeonghan had “previously suffered an injury to his left ankle and has been receiving several conservative treatments”, but had been “highly determined to participate in all activities prearranged for this year”. As such, he continued to perform with the group “while getting regular checkups on his ankle with medical professionals”.However, Pledis Entertainment noted that Jeonghan’s ankle injury recently had worsened over the course of the band’s ongoing ‘FOLLOW’ tour.
