Fox is bringing in some repeats of 9-1-1: Lone Star to its fall schedule as it tries to remind viewers that scripted drama still has a place on broadcast TV amid the writers and actors strikes.
The move sees unscripted competition series I Can See Your Voice, which has completed production of its third season, to midseason.
Season 4 of 9-1-1: Lone Star will air starting on Tuesday September 19 at 9pm, after season 3 of Name That Tune. The hope is that it can get some traction for the return of 9-1-1: Lone Star with its fifth season once the dual strikes are over.
It comes as the show’s parent show 9-1-1 was not renewed by Fox in May, instead set to move to ABC, whose sibling studio 20th TV produces, once the strikes are over.
