300 Entertainment has named Leesa Brunson-Boland head of A&R operations, the indie label announced Wednesday (May 6).Brunson-Boland moves over from an 18-year stint at Def Jam, where she most recently served as senior vp A&R operations.
In her new role, she will be based in New York and report to 300 Entertainment CEO and co-founder Kevin Liles -- who served as Def Jam president during several of the years Brunson-Boland worked there. "It feels like my career has come full circle returning to Kevin and the 300 family," Brunson-Boland said in a statement.Brunson-Boland's career began in A&R at Elektra Records, where she oversaw the careers of artists like Busta Rhymes, Lil' Mo and Missy Elliot.
