Plans to build 148 homes aimed at young professionals and small families close to Bury town centre have been given a £1.7m boost.
The project, at the 7.4-acre Pyramid Park site between Market Street and Knowsley Street will create a housing scheme on land which used to be a railway goods yard and sidings.
Bury Council said the development, which has not yet gained planning permission, will be primarily aimed at ‘younger adults and young professionals, small families and older people’.
The council said the site ‘is ideally situated for access to the town centre and public transport via the nearby Bury Interchange’.
