Plans to build 122 new apartments in two housing developments in Stockport have been approved. The council's planning committee granted permission for the conversion of Lambert House, an office block in Cheadle, into 98 apartments.
Additionally, a former kitchen and heating warehouse on Higher Hillgate, near Stockport town centre, will be transformed into 24 affordable apartments.

She said: “It is incredibly disappointing that of 98 apartments, they are proposing to include zero affordable housing. It would be really easy for elderly people to walk to the shops to get a coffee. “It would be a lovely place to live.
