Vernon Kay and Richie Anderson amusingly became muddled over an essential detail about Zoe Ball's Breakfast Show on Thursday, despite being regular fixtures on it.

The exchange happened just two days after Zoe announced she would be stepping down from her morning slot after six years at the station.

The 53-year-old will say farewell on her last three-hour episode scheduled for December 20 before Scott Mills takes over. In a statement, she told fans she wanted to prioritise her family and joked that she won't miss the 4am wake-up calls.

Additionally, she teased that she'll still be part of the Radio 2 family and promised more information will be shared in the new year.
