Zoe Ball has told how she found solace in her garden after the heartbreaking death of her boyfriend Billy Yates, who took his own life in 2017 after suffering from depression.
Radio 2 breakfast show host Zoe, 49, describes the walled garden at her home in Sussex as “my little paradise”. She said: “When I lost my partner, lots of my loved-ones bought me roses to grow in his memory.
He loved roses and I found the hours tending to these new plants so therapeutic.” Zoe was devastated when cameraman Billy died at the age of 40.
They had begun dating after her marriage to DJ Norman Cook ended amicably in 2016. After Billy’s funeral she posted: “Goodnight my beautiful boy.
