Zack Hudson (James Farrar) and Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) have experienced the trauma of losing their baby in EastEnders, and are now forced to navigate life following their tragic loss.
Zack and Whitney discovered that their baby had Edwards’ syndrome after undergoing several tests. Babies with the condition are extremely unlikely to survive after birth, with only about 13 in 100 babies born alive with Edwards’ syndrome surviving past their first birthday.
Following this diagnosis, Whitney was forced to make the most difficult decision of any parent: whether or not to terminate the pregnancy.
She ultimately decided to go through with the termination and Peach was delivered a few days later. In upcoming episodes, Zack will attempt to talk Whitney into having a memorial for baby Peach, though Whitney is evasive.
