Parents are being urged to stay alert after police were inundated with calls over youths causing havoc in a Greater Manchester town.

Greater Manchester Police says it received 'numerous reports' of anti-social behaviour in Westhoughton town centre, near Bolton, this week.

Officers were called out to reports of youths throwing stones, eggs and 'being disruptive' inside shops. In a statement issued today (January 3), GMP said the incidents had taken place 'over the last couple of days'.
