Young woman dies in hospital days after horror crash on Scots road
dailyrecord.co.ukA woman has died in hospital after being involved in a horror crash in Caithness.Emergency services raced to the B876, near Wick, following reports of a crash involving a white Audi A3 near the Quoybrae junction at around 4.15am on Saturday, August 5.
We previously told how the 22-year-old female driver of the car was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where hospital staff described her condition as critical.Officers have confirmed that the woman sadly died as a result of her injuries on Thursday morning.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 22-year-old woman has died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary during the morning of Thursday, August 10 as a result of injuries sustained in a crash in Caithness.
She was seriously injured in a collision involving a single vehicle on the B876 close to the Quoybrae junction near Wick on Saturday, August 5.
