A body of a woman was discovered yesterday at the bottom of cliffs at a beauty hub in Cornwall. Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.55pm on Saturdaym February 8, after receiving reports of a body being found at the bottom of cliffs in Porthtowan.
The ambulance and coastguards were also called. The body was recovered to the beach by lifeboat. The unidentified woman is thought to be in her 20s from the Turo area and described as slim and white with dark hair.
The woman was dressed in black, including her shoes, and wearing trousers, a top and a lightweight coat with a red handbag. Her death is being treated as unexplainedn and is not believed to be suspicious.
Formal identification has yet to take place and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
