A young mum has been left struggling to read and write after suffering a devastating stroke. Charlotte Humphrey, 26, was at home in Crewe on Halloween when she suddenly fell ill.
Her fiancé, Dan Baynes, told CheshireLive that she had just arrived home from shopping and had gone to change her one-year-old daughter's nappy when she suffered a stroke.
She was rushed to hospital where it was found she had a blood clot on the left-side of her brain - doctors are unsure what caused the blood clot.
