Young man stabbed in Glasgow street attack as cops hunt hooded thug

A young man has been stabbed in a terrifying attack on a street in Glasgow. Police have launched a manhunt after the incident happened on Dyke Road, near the junction with Killoch Drive, in Knightswood at around 9am on Saturday July 23.

Officers received a report that a 23-year-old had been stabbed on the street. Ambulance crews attended and the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for information following the serious assault.The suspect is described as a white male, in his 20s, around 6ft tall, of medium build, and wearing a black hooded jumper with the hood up and black jogging trousers.Detective Constable Jennifer Boyle, of Drumchapel CID, said: "A man sustained serious injuries as a result of this incident and it is vital we trace whoever is responsible."Officers have been carrying out enquires and checking CCTV but we'd like to hear from anyone, who was in the area and who saw what happened."We are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam or mobile phone footage from the time of the incident."Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 1063 of Saturday, July 23, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
