Lisa Marie Presley's custody battle with ex-husband Michael Lockwood is seemingly nearing a conclusion.Lisa Marie's attorney, Gary Fishbein, attended the custody hearing via Zoom on Tuesday, and told Judge Joseph Lipner that the case should be dismissed because nothing else regarding the custody battle is pending and his client is «sadly no longer with us.»Fishbein said their marriage status was dissolved and child support order survives. Custody will go to Lockwood unless another family disputes under the probate court. The judge did not yet officially grant the request for dismissal.Lisa Marie married Lockwood -- her fourth husband — in January 2006.

Instagram earned an additional 15.1 million views for the brand.  Variety’ssocial team, led by social media editor Katcy Stephan with coordinator Rachel Seo, previously saw success through the record-breaking launch of “Actors on Actors” Season 17, which earned over 35 million views on TikTok. Under Stephan’s leadership, the brand gained over 1.5 million new followers across social platforms in 2022.

Jordan Moreau “The Last of Us” actor Gabriel Luna is ready to return as Tommy for Season 2 of HBO’s hit adaptation, and he teased a bit of what to expect at HBO Max’s “The Last of Us” SXSW Conversation over the weekend ahead of the Season 1 finale. Luna plays Tommy, the younger brother of Joel (Pedro Pascal), who joins the Firefly rebels and lives in a safe, civilized settlement in Jackson, Wyo. Twenty years later, Tommy reunites with Joel in Jackson after Joel transports Ellie (Bella Ramsey) across the country. The report follows another memo to members last Friday, which argued that entertainment companies remain highly profitable overall, despite incurring heavy losses on their streaming platforms. The latest report focuses on industry trends toward shorter TV seasons, which the guild says has depressed writers’ wages. Compared to a decade ago, the WGA also says that a higher percentage of writers are working for guild minimums.

The Pensions Minister Laura Trott MP said the exercise for those on CAT BL and CAT D should be completed by the end of this year, but it could run through to late 2024.

The Rolling Stones are facing a copyright lawsuit over their 2020 track, ‘Living In A Ghost Town’.In the suit, a little-known songwriter called songwriter Sergio Garcia Fernandez, who performs under the name Angelslang, claims that the legendary band’s recent track “misappropriated many of the recognisable and key protected elements” from two of his songs, 2006’s ‘So Sorry’ and the following year’s ‘Seed Of God’.Fernandez claims that he gave a CD of music to an “immediate family member” of Mick Jagger, with elements of the two tracks then allegedly used in the band’s 2020 song.In a statement (via Billboard), Fernandez’s lawyers said: “The immediate family member … confirmed receipt … to the plaintiff via e-mail, and expressed that the musical works of the plaintiff and its style was a sound The Rolling Stones would be interested in using.”It goes on to allege that ‘Living In A Ghost Town’ lifted “vocal melodies, the chord progressions, the drum beat patterns, the harmonica parts, the electric bass line parts, the tempos, and other key signatures” from ‘So Sorry’, and the “harmonic and chord progression and melody” from ‘Seed Of God’.Representatives for The Rolling Stones did not respond to a request for comment from Billboard.Elsewhere, The Rolling Stones are reportedly collaborating with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr on their new album.According to Variety, multiple sources have confirmed that two surviving The Beatles band members have contributed to an as-yet unannounced Stones album, which is said to be produced by Andrew Watt.
