Naman Ramachandran Netflix has unveiled its 2025 Australian content lineup, featuring three new productions spanning mystery, comedy and social commentary. “The Survivors,” a moody coastal crime drama, unites Yerin Ha (“Bridgerton,” “Dune: Prophecy”) with Charlie Vickers (“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”) in an adaptation of Jane Harper’s bestselling novel.
The series, set in Tasmania, explores the reverberations of tragedy in a small seaside community when a decades-old mystery intersects with a present-day murder.
Industry veteran Tony Ayres heads the project as showrunner and executive producer through his Tony Ayres Productions banner.
The streamer is also diving deeper into comedy with “Son of a Donkey,” a six-episode series featuring the return of viral sensation Superwog’s beloved characters.
