A Swedish crime drama has raced to the number one spot on Netflix, racking up a whopping 8.8 million views in just a few days.
The Åre Murders, which was released to Netflix on February 6, is the number one programme on Netflix across 26 countries this week, including the UK.
With only five episodes, the first series revolves around Stockholm detective Hannah (Carla Sehn) who is under internal investigation and heads to a ski resort to unwind - until a young girl's disappearance compels her back to work.
The show is based on the book series of the same name by Swedish author Viveca Sten. After watching The Åre Murders, fans have flocked to social media to encourage other people to watch the show.
