‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff Starring Luke Grimes Eyed at CBS

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Another new “Yellowstone” series could be in the works, but this time at CBS. Variety has confirmed that the broadcast network is in early discussions on a procedural series that would see Luke Grimes return Kayce Dutton.

Exact plot details are currently under wraps and no deals are believed to be in place at this time. As with “Yellowstone,” the new show would be produced by MTV Entertainment Studios as opposed to CBS Studios.

Reps for CBS declined to comment. This would the latest new “Yellowstone” series since the mothership show ended its run in late 2024.

It was previously reported that Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly are set to reprise their roles as Rip and Beth in their own series that is currently in the works. “Yellowstone” mastermind Taylor Sheridan has also created the prequels “1883” and “1923,” the latter of is currently airing its second season.
