There are more than a hundred people in work across North Lanarkshire than during the same time period last year.The total alternate claimant counts made in the area earlier this month were 7465 - a reduction of 115 (two per cent) on 2023’s statistics.Of the claims submitted, 1405 were by 18-to-24-year-olds (a reduction of 20 on last year) and 1550 by people aged 50 and over (down 80 on the previous year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
