Year-on-year employment figures in Monklands continue to rise

The number of people in work in Monklands continues to rise year-on-year.For a third consecutive month alternative claimant counts (ACCs) were down across the area, with Airdrie & Shotts' 2267 claims in February - a reduction of 1418 on 12 months earlier.And neighbouring Coatbridge, Chryston &Bellshill saw 2056 claims made, which was 1752 less than during February last year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
