Chadwick Boseman continues to be feted following his untimely death and on Sunday, was named the winner of Best Performance in a Movie at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
His win for Netflix's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom was announced by presenter Yara Shahidi who accepted the golden popcorn trophy on his behalf.
The streaming movie was Boseman's last work before he passed away at the age of 43. He beat out fellow nominees Carey Mulligan, Daniel Kaluuya, Sacha Baron Cohen and Zendaya in the gender neutral category. 'I'm so honored to accept this award on behalf of Chadwick Boseman,' Black-ish star Shahidi shared.
Shahidi, 21, went on: 'I know I speak for myself, his legion of fans, and the communities he so beautifully represented when I say.
