Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and his production company, House Eleven10, have signed a first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television.

Under the multi-year pact, Abdul-Mateen will produce scripted drama series for streaming and cable. The Emmy-winning actor launched his production company House Eleven10, which pays homage to his childhood home in Oakland, in 2021.

The company is run by Andrew Fischel. House Eleven10’s initial project with Sony will star Abdul-Mateen as the titular character in an adaptation of the New York Times bestselling novel, Ghostman by Roger Hobbs.

The Ghostman specializes in making things disappear, but when a botched casino heist leaves millions in cash up for grabs, he has just 48 hours to clean up the mess—while staying ahead of someone who wants him dead. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Katherine, Lauren, Andrew, Eric, and the excellent team at Sony Pictures Television,” said Abdul-Mateen in a statement. “House Eleven10 is a place where creativity is limitless, and we could not have found a better home to share our vision of creating boundary pushing and exciting stories.”   Added Sony EVP Drama Development Andrew Plotkin, “Not only is Abdul-Mateen an incredible performer, but he is also a passionate storyteller whose creativity and vision will elevate every project he touches.
