Xbox boss teases Switch 2 release for iconic games

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has responded to rumours a number of Xbox classics could be making their way to the Nintendo Switch 2.Earlier this month, it was reported Xbox was looking to release more exclusive games on rival consoles after testing the water last year with Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves and Grounded.It was claimed that Microsoft Flight Simulator and Halo: The Master Chief Collection would be coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 this year, alongside Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Age Of Mythology and Gears Of War 1: Ultimate Edition.Last week, another leaker claimed Microsoft is currently working on ports of Diablo 4, Starfield, Fallout 4 and an unknown Call Of Duty title for the Switch 2.Now Phil Spencer has backed up those rumours, in a new interview with Gamertag Radio. “I was exchanging emails with Furukawa-san, the CEO of Nintendo [after the Switch 2 was announced].

I gave him a big congrats and said my old eyes appreciate the larger screen,” he said (via VG247). Nintendo, their innovation, and what they mean in this industry.“I just always applaud the moves that they make.

I’m really looking forward to supporting them with the games that we have.” He went on to say Nintendo is a “really important part of this industry.”“It’s hard with what’s publicly out there right now for everybody to get their [heads] around it, but who would ever bet against the success of that team?” Spencer continued. “They are just masterful in what they do.
