Hit reality talent show The X Factor is reportedly set to return to our TV screens next year, almost five years after it ended.

Show creator Simon Cowell is said to be in the driving seat to bring the once popular show back after “landing a big-money deal”.

An industry source told the Daily Star: “It has been decided that the time is right to bring X Factor back. It’s really exciting.

Everyone who will be working on the new series can’t wait to get started.” The publication also reports that Simon, 62, has “landed a big-money deal” with a production company after private negotiations.
