X Factor star Janet Devlin, 25, has bravely shared on her struggle with alcohol and how it led to her trying to take her own life.
The Northern Irish singer-songwriter, who was only 16-years-old when she appeared on the ITV talent show, says she had a problem with booze from the age of 18 after suffering with fame and being shy.
And that after a number of failed suicide attempts - which Janet says were unplanned - she knew she was in a dark space. The singer admitted that she used alcohol for a boost in social situations but she then began drinking before work and waking up "with a gin bottle under her pillow".
