Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

It was clear that Honey G was destined for greatness from the moment she stepped on the X Factor stage wearing massive shades and a metallic tracksuit and chanting, "When you say Honey, I say G." The judges' jaws hit the floor when the rapper from London launched into her now legendary version of Missy Elliot’s Work It in 2016.

A pocket of harsh haters reacted to her 'novelty act' label by launching a petition to get her kicked off the ITV talent show.

But Honey G - real name Anne Gilford - had the last laugh. Not only did she come in fifth place, but she also signed a deal with show svengali Simon Cowell's record label Syco for the release of her debut single, The Honey G Show.
