WTFilms Takes Int’l Rights To Nick Frost & Alicia Silverstone, Sundance Comedy-Horror ‘Krazy House’
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: WTFilms has snapped up international sales rights for Dutch directorial duo Steffan Haars and Flip Van Der Kuil’s English-language debut Krazy House following its world premiere at Sundance.
The gory, comedy-horror, putting a fresh spin on the family sitcoms of the 1990s, co-stars Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, The World’s End) as meek-mannered, bumbling homemaker Bernie opposite Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) as his stressed-out, breadwinner wife.
Their humdrum existence is upended by the arrival of Russian mobsters on the doorstep posing as maintenance men. Bernie is forced to man-up in defense of his family as their home descends into blood-splattered chaos and violence.
The movie debuted in Sundance’s The Midnights section and then made its European premiere in Rotterdam’s Limelight section over the past weekend.
