‘Worst year of my life’ Jamie Dornan opens up about dealing with losing father to Covid

BBC hit The Tourist landing on New Year’s Day. However, despite his personal success, the actor candidly shared his struggles in a new interview.The actor lost his father Jim Dornan to Covid back in March 2021.At the time, the star was quarantining in Australia, ahead of shooting The Tourist.Speaking in a chat published on January 1, he explained: “It’s a strange thing to end the year with all this positivity…“Because on many levels it’s been the worst year of my life, and the hardest.”He went on to add to The Telegraph how his family have been unable to hold a funeral following his father’s death.As well as this, he was unable to see his father in the 18 months before he died.This was down to various lockdowns as well as being very busy.
