The world's oldest man, John Tinniswood, has passed away at the age of 112 in his care home in Merseyside. Born in Liverpool on August 26, 1912, he claimed the title of the world's oldest living man in April this year.

His died peacefully on Monday at his care home in Southport, where he was "surrounded by music and love", according to a statement from his family.
