Motherwell and Wishaw MSP Clare Adamson has encouraged women and girls living in the constituency to get active and get involved in local sports.The SNP politician was marking the beginning of Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week 2023, an annual initiative aimed at increasing the numbers of females participating in sport.The Scottish Government teamed up with Scottish Women in Sport and Active Scotland for the initiative to highlight the importance of sport in achieving gender equality, as well as improving health and wellbeing, and to celebrate the achievements of women and girls in all sports across all levels.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
