A woman who repeatedly stabbed her former lover with a ‘tattie peeler’ blade was cleared of attempted murder today. A jury found Lindsay Lowe guilty instead of assaulting Steven Clarke to his severe injury under provocation.

Lowe, 44, had admitted wounding Mr Clarke eight times with a four inch Kitchen Devil utility knife at her flat in Broxburn, West Lothian but denied trying to murder him.
