A woman who died in a fatal crash in the Scottish Borders on Friday has been named by police.Janette Davidson of Kelso was driving a grey Kia Venga when her car was involved in a collision with a red Mercedes-Benz GLE 300 on the B6397, close to the Borders town.
She was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash at around 8.55am on Friday November 11.Enquiries are continuing into the crash – the first of two to occur near Kelso on Friday.
Ms Davidson's family released a statement through Police Scotland on Monday, paying tribute to the beloved pensioner.In a statement her family stated said: "Janette will be greatly missed by her family and the community.
We are very grateful to all of the first response teams who were at the scene and for the ongoing support they continue to provide."Officers continue to appeal for information as part of their ongoing enquiries into this collision.
