A woman thought she had got in the way of ‘filming for Top Gear’ shortly before a collision which killed a biker, a trial has heard.
Prosecutors allege that four men, two in cars and two on motorbikes, were ‘racing’ on the A34 near Handforth Dean retail park.
It was said that they ‘failed’ to be able to navigate a large roundabout, resulting in a collision. It was this collision that led to the death of Asad Rashid, 34, who was driving a Suzuki motorbike, Minshull Street Crown Court heard. Osama Saeed, 32, and Asgar Taj, 34, are both on trial accused of causing death by dangerous driving. The fourth man, Mohammed Zubair Chaudhry, 31, has previously pleaded guilty to the same offence.
