Police have named the woman who was fatally shot outside a pub on Valentine’s Day in Kent. Kent Police confirmed today that Lisa Smith was killed near The Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt just after 7pm on Friday.
The 43-year-old, from Slough, was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspected gunman is believed to have fallen from the Queen Elizabeth II bridge, that links Dartford with Essex across the Thames, after the murder.
A car and a gun were found near the bridge and a man was seen on the wrong side of the barrier, the force said. A search of the water is ongoing and the force said it is not yet clear whether the gun was legally owned.
On Monday, tributes had been left at the scene. Flowers and balloons, including one which read 'Wonderful Mum', were accompanied by messages such as "rest in peace" and "fly high, pretty lady", the BBC reports.
