A woman has died after being shot outside a pub in Kent on Valentine's Day, police have confirmed. It happened at The Three Horseshoes in the village of Knockholt, near Sevenoaks, last night (Friday).
Kent Police said it was called to a report of a 'disturbance.' A force spokesperson added: "Officers attended the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service where a woman in her 40s had suffered injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. "She was declared deceased at the scene and a murder investigation is under way.
Her next of kin has been informed." Police searching for the suspect have found a vehicle containing a gun on the bridge which crosses the Thames at nearby Dartford.
They were known to the victim, detectives have confirmed. "As part of inquiries, officers attended the Dartford Crossing where a vehicle linked to the incident was recovered, alongside a firearm.
