A woman was sexually assaulted as she slept on a train to Manchester Piccadilly station. The horror sex attack occurred at some point between 11.30am and 12.30pm on June 24.
The victim, who was travelling on the service from London Euston to Manchester, was sexually assaulted as she slept by a man who had boarded the service, which called at Nuneaton, Stoke and Stockport.
The offender sat next next to her before carrying out the attack. After the victim confronted him, he got up and walked up the carriage before getting off at Manchester Piccadilly. A force spokesperson said: "Officers investigating a report of a sexual assault have today released this image in connection.
