Hunt for man with grey beard after woman sexually assaulted on Edinburgh train

Cops are hunting a man with a grey beard after a woman was sexually assaulted on an Edinburgh train.The disturbing incident took place after 7pm on July 29 on board the train from the capital to Dundee.After getting on the train at Haymarket the man had already approached the woman on the platform before moving opposite her in the carriage and sexually assualting her.The man is described as being of southern European descent and in his mid-40s with dark hair and a grey beard.

He was wearing a red, white and blue jumper with blue jeans.A statement from the British Transport Police reads: "Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was sexually assaulted on board a train in Edinburgh. "At around 7pm on Monday 29 July, a woman was waiting on the platform at Edinburgh Haymarket for the 7.05pm train to Dundee. "After boarding the train and sitting down, a man who had approached the woman on the platform moved seats to sit opposite her.

He then proceeded to sexually assault the woman." They added: "The man was described as being of southern European descent and in his mid-40s with dark hair and a grey beard.
