A "gifted" university student's skull 'caved in' after a freak accident in which a lounge chair fell on her from a penthouse balcony.
New Yorker Annabel Sen's lawyer said her survival after the incident, which saw her have two brain surgeries and subsequently pull out of her studies, was a "miracle".
The 24-year-old was heading for a lunch date with her partner when a "heavy wooden lounge chair...fell from the terrace of the 12-floor penthouse" and struck her, according to a lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court yesterday.
The papers, seen by the New York Post, said Sen, from Midtown, sustained a "severe, life-threatening, traumatic brain injury".
