Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Consumers have been seeking out cost-reducing cookware to replace the classic oven, which costs roughly £1.02 an hour to run.Now, one clever woman has shared her method for making crispy roast potatoes with a slow cooker, which runs at just 5p an hour.While Ria McCullough's tip for cooking roasties might seem unconventional, others who have seen it are eager to give it a go, reports the Mirror.In a Facebook post, Ria claimed her take on the roast potato recipe was so good that she'll "never cook them conventionally again".So how exactly does she do it?The home cook started with some Navan potatoes, which she parboiled for 10 minutes, before leaving them to steam dry in a colander.As they cooled, she sprinkled some flour, salt and pepper, onion granules and some sage over the top before shaking the spuds to coat them in the mixture.Ria then added "a few glugs" of mild olive oil to her slow cooker and turned the temperature up high so the oil would be nice and hot when she put the potatoes in.The potatoes then got tossed in the oil so they were coated and were left to cook on high for four hours, with a tea towel placed under the lid, turning twice during the time.
