A woman has been killed and a man left with a 'potentially life-changing' injury after a vicious dog attack. Police say the 43-year-old woman was 'fatally bitten' on Friday night (July 15) by the dog, which was not of a banned breed.
The man, 42, called South Yorkshire Police while himself injured from the incident at a house on Masefield Road in West Melton, Rotherham.
He is believed to have an adult son with the deceased, Yorkshire Live reports. The man suffered injuries to both hands, along with his abdomen and face, and was rushed to hospital.
Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
