Manchester City's third kit will be a neon yellow shirt with black hoops, with the club taking the unusual step to launch the strip in the online world of Roblox.
City's classic sky blue home kit with crimson collar has gone down a storm with supporters, as has the red and black away kit, which broke sales records in the first day it was available to fans.
Completing the kits for this season is the new third kit, with fans getting their first look from an unexpected platform. Late on Wednesday night, City tweeted that their 'third kit goes Roblox', posting images of the shirt in digital form within the Roblox world — an online platform that allows users to program games and play games made by other users, with Lego-style figures modelling the design. City later released a video heavily featuring the Manchester Worker Bee, suggesting the hoops are representing that emblem that has become a prevalent part of life in the city in recent years.
