A woman who was found dead at a Premier Inn in Sale has been named as 42-year-old Julie Howarth. An inquest opened into her death at South Manchester Coroners Court today (April 20).

Julie, of Bakecroft Grove, Northern Moor, was found dead in a room at the Carrington Lane hotel on March 29 this year. A number of emergency service crews were called to the hotel that evening.

Staff told police that the health care assistant had booked a room at the hotel, police coroners officer David Wood told the hearing.

A post-mortem has been carried out by consultant pathologist Dr Andrew Yates, but a further toxicological report is needed.
