A mum who used to be plagued by an embarrassing skin condition says her life has been transformed thanks to an unusual kitchen ingredient.
Mum of two Alexandra Nailwal, 40, a restaurant manager, says her skin used to flare up at the worst possible times. Alexandra suffers from rosacea, a chronic inflammatory skin condition that primarily affects the face, causing redness, visible blood vessels, and sometimes small, red, pus-filled bumps.
Alexandra said: "Christmas used to be the absolute worst time for my rosacea as the constant changes of temperature from the warm cosy fires inside to the freezing cold outside along with champagne and wine made my skin go crazy.
For the past few years, I’ve dreaded Christmas as I’ve had to wear loads of makeup, not to go outside too much, avoid drinking much and hide my face in family photos. "I felt very self-conscious as it’s a time of a lot of socialising.
