A woman has filmed an emotional reunion with her dog nearly two years after getting stuck in another country in lockdown. Mikayla Neil, 22, was separated from her Fox Terrier Tess for 18 months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The woman could not return from New Zealand to Australia for a year and a half - which meant she was away from her family and her beloved pooch.
But when she managed to go home last month, her dog recognised her straight away and soon showed all her happiness. In the footage, Mikayla can be seen sitting on the floor while Tess runs towards her, jumps in her lap and then runs back and forth in the corridor in a show of excitement.
