A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a ride at a funfair 'malfunctioned'. Four people including an 11-year-old girl were injured following the incident at the Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park, south London, last night.

Police have now said that a woman in her 40s remains in hospital having suffered life-changing injuries. A man in his 40s is also being treated for potentially life-changing injuries.

The 11-year-old girl and a man in his 50s have both since been discharged from hospital. The local council said the ride had 'malfunctioned', and that the Health and Safety Executive is now investigating.
