A woman who desperately wanted to start a family was told she had to wait a year before doctors would investigate why she wasn't ovulating.
Ellie and her husband had to fight to be taken seriously by GPs when they first started trying for a baby in early 2019, but struggled to get pregnant.
After coming off her contraceptive pill, the 28-year-old stopped getting a period, which made it impossible to track her ovulation cycle.
The primary school teacher from Ashby, Leicestershire, told the Mirror : "I came off the contraceptive pill and I assumed that I might get pregnant in the following month. "I assumed I would get pregnant within six months, I had that in my head.
